Conectado la Familia is a program of support/educational virtual groups made up of local Latinx community members. This is a program that is fully bilingual and focused on providing adequate mental health support to the Latinx community.
- During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic we were able to provide therapeutic services for individuals that struggled with severe pandemic-based anxieties, depression, and trauma. We were also able to provide a web-based support group and information series on keeping up mental hygiene during the pandemic.
- The program is completely free to the public and bilingual. The program includes psychoeducation courses that teaches parents how to be active in their children’s lives and advocate for them in the school and with their doctors.
- The goal of this program is to provide support for the low-income Latinx community and to be able to provide free virtual support groups for mothers, children, and families.
